Introduction

Cockapoos are the end result from breeding Cocker Spaniels and Poodles, which have become very popular as a designer dog across the US, a trend which is slowly spreading out around the world. Cockapoos are absolutely lovely, and while they’re small in size, they have massive hearts that you and your family can only fall in love with.

History

While relatively new in the designer dog world, Cockapoos are perhaps one of the most well-known Poodle crossbreeds, and one of the oldest in comparison to other breeds. They first started to show up around the 1960s and have remained popular among all kinds of owners ever since.

Thanks to the Cocker Spaniel and the working dog history of the Poodle, these dogs are very active and have a ton of energy, which is why they still commonly appear in agility shows and trials, but there’s no doubt these dogs are best as companion dogs.

Personality

Since Cockapoos have been bred as companion dogs for so long, they are very human-centric in the sense that they’re easy to train, eager to please, and only want to give you a lot of love and attention, so make sure you’re giving it back (not that you’ll be able to resist with a cute faces they have)!

,p>Cockapoos are renowned for having one of the best temperaments out of modern-day pooches, making them ideal dogs to have around children, and you won’t tend to have any problems meeting strangers or other dogs. Just give your pup a lot of love and keep them social and you should never run into any problems!
