Labradoodles are a cross between Labrador Retrievers and Poodles. This particular cross breed is a relatively recent type of dog, as the first labradoodle pup was bred in 1989, by Wally Conran. The breed originates in Australia, where the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Australia were aiming to create a guide dog which was intelligent, calm and caring, while also being hypoallergenic.

Due to the fact that labradoodles are not a purebred breed, it is recommended that you meet the puppy (and ideally one of its parents) before you take them home.
