Introduction

La-Chons are super cute little companions which, essentially, have the appearance of an adorable ball of fluff with deep round eyes. The kind of puppy eyes that melt any heart. Thankfully, they’re more than happy to let us fuss over them. These gorgeous little lap dogs are always happy to sit and have a cuddle with you.

When not snuggled up with you on the sofa, La-Chons are high spirited and chirpy. They love getting out for some exercise - essentially, they’re happy doing whatever, so long as you’re out having fun with them. They’re only little, but they certainly make up for that in terms of personality. La-Chons can be slightly on the stubborn side, but are also bold, characterful and utterly charming.

Did you know? La-Chons are actually a little bit of a show off. They delight in being taught new tricks, mostly so that they can seize on the opportunity to be the centre of attention later on, once they have perfected the routine.

History

La-Chons are a relatively new breed of dog. In fact, the cross breed is not commonly known of. They are a cross between the Bichon Frise breed and Lhasa Aspos.

As a result of the fact that La-Chons are not a pure breed, it is important that you meet the dog (and, if possible, one of its parents too) before you decide to bring it home with you. This is because its characteristics and personality traits cannot be predicted to the same extent as you can with a purebred breed of dog.

Personality

They may be little, but La-Chons can certainly be fierce. They have a notable intelligence and a slight tendency to be stubborn. You can mitigate this behavioural trait by taking your La-Chon to training classes when they are younger. Also, we would recommend socialising them when they are puppies - introduce them to new sights, sounds, pets, people and places, as this will help them to approach new things more calmly when they are older.

But don’t let that worry you, La-Chons will give boundless amounts of love to their owner. These dogs are full of character, charm and affection. And who can help but be transfixed by those heart-warming eyes?
